Most people want to to look better, and that is why they call a personal trainer. But they wind up with the added benefit of feeling better. And they don't have to wait for weeks in order to enjoy this extraordinary benefit.
Usually after the first workout there is a sense of hope. Yes, you can do this. No, you don’t have to hate the process. Then after the first week physical changes begin to take place. Most people will sleep better, have a little more energy and experience an overall better mood. One client with asthma went from level one to level two on the elliptical after one session. Often it
involves a feeling of empowerment.
It takes about six weeks for a new behavior to become a habit. For you to change the look of your body, it helps to change your attitude. When you look better you will feel better.
Why doesn’t everyone participate in routine exercise? As a fitness trainer with 20 plus years I have observed what makes people fail and what makes them succeed. Someone who has unrealistic expectations can get discouraged. Someone who works out too hard too soon will probably get injured. My job is to help you avoid discouragement and find success this time.
